The 24 years old Brazilian midfielder of Manchester City, Fernandinho has experience playing in the Ukraine Premier League as he played with the Shakhtar Donetsk jersey back in 2005 until he moved to the English club Manchester City in 2013 and he has revealed that one of the biggest differences of those clubs is the ambition that City has compared to the Ukrainian side.
“The big difference has been the ambitions of the two clubs. City wants to win every competition they enter. It’s the same with my team mates. They’re all internationals, with a wealth of experience in English or European football. My responsibility, at the end of the day, is much the same as it was, control the midfield and organize the team’’.
“I’ve always been told that the midfield is the heart of the team, the position that dictates the rhythm of the game. And as we’re a skillful team, built around keeping possession, a midfielder who knows what to do with the ball is very important.”
Due to political inconveniences which are spurring in the eastern European side of Ukraine, the football league of the country has been stopped but the Ukrainian football authorities has been meeting with the country’s clubs concerning the near future of the Football League and it is believed that everything should be starting soon.
“As the whole country is waiting for the matches, the championship race must restart as quickly as possible’’.
Ukraine’s minister of youth and sport Dmitry Bulatov said.
Shakhtar Donetsk was knocked out of the Europa League after losing against Viktoria Plzen last month and despite receiving offers from Spartak Moscow in Russia, the manager of Shakhar Mircea Lucescu declined the opportunity on coaching the Russian side.
