ZAGREB WIN AGAIN

Dinamo Zagreb secured their 9th consecutive Croatian First League title. The head coach of the club Zoran Mamic stated that he is proud as well as happy about the performances of his players and that the feeling of winning the league on 9 successive occasions is amazing.

“It’s a great feeling to be a champion, and when you do it nine times in a row it’s the greatest feeling for every person in the club. This is the ninth title in a row since I returned to the club as a player. Now, as a coach, I am proud of all my players. I am lucky to have guys who are willing to listen and learn. We will not have a big celebration now; we still have a league match on Saturday and a cup game next Wednesday. We need to be on top form in every match.” Zoran Mamic said.

This league victory will allow Dinamo Zagreb on entering the Champions League of the upcoming season as they have the chance to represent Croatia in Europe’s biggest and most important football tournament.

Zoran Mamic also went on expressing details concerning their recent transfer involving Barcelona and Alen Halilovic. Halilovic is a 17 years old Croatian player who is already being nicknamed as: ‘’The Croatian Messi’’ as he has displayed impressive performances on a number of occasions and Barcelona managed to sign him around 1 month ago.

There was doubt if the transfer was going to be allowed as Barcelona was hit with a transfer ban but after a recent appeal, the sanction will start in 2015. This punishment will not allow the Spanish club on buying or selling any new players for 2 years.

“I called the Barcelona board and got an assurance that the sentence does not affect the transfer of Alen Halilovic. Everything is fine; there is no need for speculation. Alen will move to Barcelona after this season that is for sure. The contract is signed and you can be sure that nothing unusual will happen.” Mamic told reporters.
